C Major Scale Open Position in Thirds
The C major scale is probably the most widely used scale in modern popular music. Learn it in the standard sequence (C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C) first and then in variations such as using thirds. It sounds more interesting and musical like that and is helpful for improvisation because chords are built with third intervals.
